Key Responsibilities Perform mobile service calls and on-site yard repairs.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on transport refrigeration equipment.
Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair refrigeration units, heaters, and related components.
Perform preventative maintenance services and pre-trip inspections.
Detect refrigerant leaks and repair or replace defective components.
Conduct routine maintenance and scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services.
Test, recover, and recharge refrigeration systems using appropriate equipment.
Verify repairs by testing and adjusting systems to manufacturer specifications.
Accurately document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities using a tablet-based maintenance management system.
Maintain explicit communication with customers, service managers, and team members.
Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience repairing and servicing transport refrigeration equipment.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate is considered an asset.
Must possess own tools and secure tool storage.
Solid diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.
Preferred Experience Candidates with experience working on transport refrigeration systems, heavy-duty trucks, trailers, diesel equipment, fleet maintenance, and related mechanical systems are encouraged to apply. Experience with preventative maintenance, refrigeration diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, trailer repair, hydraulic systems, and commercial vehicle service is highly valued.
