Position Summary

The treater is responsible for operation of pressure treating systems and transfer deck as required.

Responsibilities: Operates pressure treating systems as required, including testing, mixing, plant control operation and system monitoring

Pressures treat lumber and poles to specifications

Unloads chemical deliveries

Cleaning and maintenance of treating systems, including greasing, filter cleaning / changing, cleaning tanks, door pits and plant surfaces

Maintains daily plant checklist and reports items of concern to plant Supervisor and maintenance department as applicable.

Operates and monitors kilns and fixation tunnel as required

Loads and unloads lumber treating carts as required

Maintains pressure treating carts,



greasing and removing for repair as required

Safe and responsible operation of company equipment at all times

Maintains a clean and safe working environment

Abides to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards
