Responsibilities

- Assign and schedule trucks efficiently using transportation management systems to optimize routes and delivery times
- Communicate clearly with drivers, clients, and warehouse staff via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills
- Track shipments and update freight status in systems such as SyteLine or AS400 to ensure accurate data entry and real-time information sharing
- Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with company policies
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain
- Manage shipping schedules, troubleshoot delays,



and provide solutions to keep freight moving smoothly
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, shipment logs, and related documentation for audit purposes

Requirements

- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) or similar logistics software such as SyteLine or AS400
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, freight operations, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in typing and record keeping
- Analytical skills to assess routing options, shipment statuses, and operational efficiencies
- Exceptional communication skills paired with skilled phone etiquette for multi-line phone systems
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and related documentation requirements
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
