We are seeking a skilled and technically proficient Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical experience with a variety trucks and trailers. This position requires expertise in engine diagnostics, hydraulics, and bumper-to-bumper repairs.
Key Responsibilities Full-Scope Truck and Trailer Maintenance: Perform engine diagnostics, wet kit installations, hydraulic system repairs, and complete rig-ups.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair heavy-duty (commercial) trailers and trucks ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
Equipment Diagnostics: Identify and determine the necessary repairs for various equipment issues, providing solutions that are both effective and efficient.
Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections for Commercial Vehicle Inspection Programs (CVIP) and Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI).
Variety of Work: Engage in a diverse range of tasks, including work on trailers and trucks, ensuring versatility in the role.
Time Management & Problem Solving: Effectively manage time to meet deadlines and apply strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues.
Requirements Experience: Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic with 4+ years of experience in heavy truck and trailer repairs.
Technical Expertise: Strong background in engine diagnostics, troubleshooting, rig-ups,
and hydraulic systems, with a focus on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Licensing: Prefer valid CVIP certification for both trucks and trailers
Driver’s Record: Must maintain a clean driver’s record.
Tools & Transportation: Must have your own tools and reliable transportation.
