Key Accountabilities
Collaborate closely with the turnaround execution group including turnaround coordinators, planning, scheduling, and process and reliability engineering as a member of the turnaround core team
Contribute to meetings including turnover, execution and update meetings, risk reviews and HAZOPs
Build turnaround scope of work
Build turnaround operations team and schedules
Review notifications with cross-functional teams to add or omit revisions during turnaround
Prepare, communicate and execute Plant shutdown and start up procedures
Finalize operations support contractor for tasks including de-gassing and nitrogen purging
Prepare and review lock outs to include turnaround scope and liaise with project team to ensure lock outs are ready for their scope
Work with area coordinators to plan all activities for plant shut down and add or progress them in turnaround schedule
Capture lessons learned from turnarounds and act on them for future turnarounds
Participate in pre-job reviews, schedule development and job and schedule optimization activities
Minimum Requirements
Experience and Education
Seven or more years of operating experience in a SAGD facility or related experience in upgrading, refinery or the oil and gas industry
Experience in maintenance in the oil and gas industry is an asset
Experience in turnarounds as an operations or execution coordinator
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
3rd Class Power Engineering certification (or higher) is preferred
Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Deep understanding of industrial plant, facilities and equipment
Strong computer skills, specifically with MS Office suite; SAP and Primavera are an asset
Strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
Adaptive work style with an ability to handle multiple priorities, challenging demands and function in a agile work environment
Cultivates a high degree of engagement, collaboration and communication between business units and all interface points, hold others accountable, and expect others to do the same
