Part-Time Tutor – K–8

Katie's Learning Corner is looking for a reliable, patient, and enthusiastic part-time tutor to join our growing tutoring business. The successful candidate will work one-on-one with elementary students helping them strengthen their academic skills and build confidence.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and can create a positive and encouraging learning setting.

Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in Grades K–8
- Support students in reading, writing, and mathematics
- Adapt explanations and activities to each student's individual learning needs
- Help students strengthen foundational academic skills and confidence
- Prepare simple activities and materials for tutoring sessions
- Communicate professionally and positively with students and families
- Maintain a reliable and consistent tutoring schedule

Qualifications
- Experience working with children or youth is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, dependable, encouraging, and comfortable working independently
- Strong understanding of elementary-level reading, writing, and mathematics
- Students or graduates in Education, Child and Youth Care,



Early Childhood Education, Educational Assistant programs, or related fields are encouraged to apply
- Previous tutoring, teaching, coaching, camp, childcare, or other experience working with children is an asset

Position Details
- Part-time
- $19.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Primarily after-school and evening hours
- One-on-one tutoring
