Holding a graduate or undergraduate degree in planning recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners is essential to succeed in this position. You will lead land use policy development, analyze zoning issues, and engage with public inquiries while also serving as a development officer when needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft land use policies and related documents
- Conduct research and prepare analysis for planning functions
- Respond to zoning inquiries and development permit applications
- Support the Development Planning division as required
- Collaborate on municipal planning projects and presentations Requirements:
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in planning
- 1-2 years of relevant municipal experience preferred
- Knowledge of planning legislation and community planning principles
