Program Overview We are a smaller hospital that works well as a team. There is a lot of knowledge and experience to share with new staff. Big Bay has a long history of excellent client relationships where our patients are truly treated like one of our own. NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final‑year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real‑world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities - Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more.
- Enhance communication abilities with medical teams and clients.
- Participate in a practicum that ranges from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals.
Qualifications - Enrolled in an accredited veterinary technician program in Canada and completing your final practicum in your final year.
Compensation and Perks Eligible students receive a stipend to help cover travel expenses, allowing a focus on learning without financial worries.
