About the Role

- Review project contracts, estimates, drawings, specifications, schedules, and scope requirements.
- Lead project turnover meetings with estimating, operations, and field leadership.
- Develop project schedules, labour plans, procurement timelines, and cost forecasts.
- Coordinate field supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment deliveries.
- Monitor job costs, labour productivity, committed costs, gross margin, and cost-to-complete forecasts.
- Identify project risks, scope gaps, scheduling concerns, and long-lead materials.
- Prepare and track change orders, RFIs, submittals, site instructions, and project documentation.
- Ensure additional work is documented, priced, and approved.
- Conduct regular site visits to review progress, workmanship, safety, and productivity.
- Coordinate progress billing, supplier invoices, purchase orders, and project expenses.
- Maintain accurate project records in Simpro and Microsoft Teams.
- Communicate project status, financial performance, risks, and required decisions to company leadership.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, deficiencies, warranties, and project closeout.
- Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and WorkSafeBC regulations.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical construction, project management, supervision, or project coordination.




- Experience in plumbing, HVAC, gas, hydronics, or mechanical contracting.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
- Experience managing budgets, labour, materials, subcontractors, and change orders.
- Understanding of job costing, gross margin, forecasting, and cost control.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with Simpro, QuickBooks Online, or similar construction software is an asset.
- Valid British Columbia driver's licence.

Preferred Qualifications

- Red Seal plumbing, gas fitting, HVAC, refrigeration, or related trade certification.
- Construction management, engineering, or business education.
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Experience managing commercial mechanical projects in Metro Vancouver.
- Knowledge of applicable British Columbia construction, plumbing, gas, fire, and safety requirements.
