We are seeking qualified instructors to join our Qualified Faculty List for Counselling Psychology. Successful candidates may be offered opportunities to teach one or more courses on a term‑by‑term basis as departmental needs arise.
We are seeking candidates with demonstrated expertise and professional experience in counselling psychology who are qualified to teach one or more of the following courses:
- CNPS 3310 – Theories of Counselling
- CNPS 3320 – Career Counselling and Career Education
- CNPS 3330 – Cultural Considerations in Counselling
- CNPS 4300 – Counselling Relationships and Basic Skills
- CNPS 4310 – The Reflective Practitioner
- CNPS 4330 – Group Facilitation

Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program. Preference will be given to those with a PhD in Counselling Psychology or Clinical Psychology.
- Extensive experience and an exceptional record teaching undergraduate university courses in counselling psychology.
- Experience supervising students in practicing individual and group counselling skills.
- A robust understanding of the value of, and a demonstrated commitment to, a broad liberal arts tradition in education.
- Demonstrated potential to create courses that will contribute to the expansion of the department.

- Evidence of undergraduate teaching success (including course syllabi, outlines and evaluations).
- Sample of research or other publication.
- Copies of transcripts of graduate degrees.
- A list of three professional referees able to comment on your teaching ability and academic accomplishments.

Salary Information
Placement on the salary scale will be dependent on level of education and relevant teaching experience. Advancement up the pay scale is based on FTE and employment status.
