Join Our Studio: Violin Teacher

New West Music is currently seeking a dedicated, patient, and versatile Violin Instructor to join our thriving community. This is a great opportunity for an educator who loves helping students discover their sound, whether they're picking up the violin for the first time or refining advanced technique.

We aren't just looking for a skilled violinist — we're looking for a mentor who can meet each student where they are and help them build a genuine, lasting love of music.

The Chance

- Availability: Starting with Fridays, with potential to grow to a second day per week depending on scheduling and demand.
- Environment: A flexible, friendly, and supportive work culture — including ongoing training, career development, and performance opportunities for faculty outside the classroom.
- Growing Studio: We've recently expanded, renovated our classrooms, brought in new instruments, and launched a new student app — all part of our continued investment in a great teaching and learning environment.

Our Ideal Candidate We value creativity and kindness above all else. While solid musicianship matters, we believe patience, adaptability, and an encouraging nature are what really drive a student's growth.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities:

- Versatility: Comfortable teaching a range of styles and levels, from beginner technique to more advanced repertoire.
- Adaptability: Ability to build personalized lesson plans and adjust your teaching style to match each student's needs, age, and personality.
- Secondary Instrument Skills:

Ability to play another instrument at a beginner level is a plus but not mandatory.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both parents and staff regarding student progress and goals.
- Classroom Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills to keep lessons running smoothly and on schedule.

Qualifications

- Education: Post-secondary music training or equivalent professional teaching experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of music teaching experience.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Bonus: Candidates who can also teach beginner-to-intermediate piano will be given priority consideration.
