Duties & Responsibilities The Warehouse Assistant will work closely with our Production crew and support the team with day-to-day material handling and warehousing activities.
Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Receive incoming products and production supplies and store them accordingly in the freezer or dry warehouse.
- Put away received products into designated locations.
- Ensure proper storage of goods.
- Handle day-to-day warehouse operations
- Operate the forklift for material handling in a safe manner.
- Coordinate with the Production team and TCD Operations to ensure availability of products and timely movement of products.
- Transfer products to TCD-Surrey and vice versa.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the freezer.
- Handy Man skills a benefit
- Complete responsibilities in accordance with established procedures.
- Full Training available
Requirements
- 1-2 years relevant warehouse experience
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Able to work in a freezer and cooler environment.
- Be capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to perform minor repairs (tools provided)
- Able to take direction in a positive manner.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management and people skills
