Warehouse Manager, Wholesale Apparel & E-Commerce – Richmond, BC

Position Summary:
LIJA is seeking a hands-on, organized, and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, inventory management, production support, logistics, and order fulfillment. This role is critical to ensuring that our products, raw materials, and finished goods move efficiently through the supply chain while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
The successful candidate will work closely with production partners, logistics providers, customer service, and the leadership team, while managing 1-2 staff members, to ensure inventory integrity, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & SKU Management
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, trims (notions), fabrics, and finished garments.
- Perform regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate SKU setup and inventory records.
- Measure and verify fabric quantities to ensure production accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment.
Logistics & Transportation
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with freight carriers, customs brokers, UPS, FedEx, and courier services.
- Prepare and manage U.S. cross-border shipping documentation.
- Track shipments and resolve transportation issues.
- Ensure shipments are delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain shipping records and freight documentation.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee the daily organization, cleanliness, and safety of the warehouse.
- Optimize warehouse layout for efficiency and storage capacity.
- Manage receiving, storage, and movement of inventory.
- Continuously improve warehouse processes and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Order Fulfillment
- Supervise & participate in receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of wholesale and e-commerce orders.
- Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Process customer returns efficiently.
- Work closely with Customer Service to resolve shipping and inventory issues.
Quality Control
- Inspect finished garments to ensure they meet LIJA quality standards.
- Verify fabric measurements, weights, and specifications.
- Identify quality concerns and work with production partners to resolve issues.
- Maintain quality control documentation and procedures.
Purchasing & Vendor Coordination
- Purchase trims, notions, packaging materials, and warehouse supplies.
- Prepare and process supplier invoices for payment.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
Production Support
- Support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities.
- Prepare fabrics, trims, labels, barcodes, and production materials.
- Coordinate with manufacturing partners to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor production timelines and communicate delays or issues proactively.
- Assist in planning inventory requirements based on forecasts and production schedules.
Warehouse Sales & Sample Management
- Coordinate warehouse and sample sale events.
- Organize sample inventory and sale merchandise.
- Assist with pricing, merchandising,
and event setup.
- Ensure inventory accuracy before and after warehouse sales.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of warehouse, inventory, or operations management experience, preferably in apparel or consumer products.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse best practices.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, or inventory management software.
- Knowledge of international shipping and customs documentation.
- Robust organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
