About our client:
Our client is a Canadian environmental services company specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure solutions for municipal and industrial clients. They provide a range of technical services, including monitoring, inspection, data analysis, and treatment support, helping clients improve system performance, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Review and perform QA/QC on wastewater flow monitoring data (depth, velocity, and flow) across multiple client projects.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data anomalies, equipment issues, and data gaps to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
- Analyze flow monitoring data using statistical methods and industry best practices, including dry weather flow analysis and inflow & infiltration (I&I;) assessments.
- Develop, maintain, and improve data review procedures, QA/QC standards, reporting templates, and analysis workflows.
- Prepare technical reports, data summaries, and project updates for municipal and industrial clients.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to clients, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Manage multiple flow monitoring programs by coordinating schedules, deliverables, budgets, client communications, and invoicing support.
- Collaborate closely with field technicians by prioritizing data review, identifying site issues, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and coordinating annual monitoring schedules.
- Maintain a working knowledge of flow monitoring instrumentation to interpret data,
diagnose performance issues, and provide technical guidance.
- Conduct occasional site visits to support project startup, client meetings, or complex field investigations.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in wastewater flow monitoring, with a strong focus on data review, QA/QC, reporting, or project management.
- Hands-on knowledge of wastewater flow monitoring equipment, including area-velocity flow meters, rain gauges, and related instrumentation.
- Proficiency with flow monitoring software, Microsoft Excel, and working with large, multi-site datasets.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and data quality issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing technical reports and presenting findings to clients.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Experience with flow data reconstitution, flow separation, or inflow & infiltration (I&I;) analysis is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted data processing tools or programming languages such as Python or R is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.
Location: Delta, BC (Onsite)
