Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) Record to Report (R2R) (GL) & Allocations Lead Lead to join their project immediately on a long term contract. The ideal candidate should have 8–12 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in SAP Finance R2R, and should have completed two or more full lifecycle implementations. This includes two or more full-lifecycle S/4HANA Finance implementations with R2R ownership. Hands-on GL configuration and close design is required, including multi-entity intercompany functionality. The candidate should also have allocation design experience at a realistic level of complexity not just standard assessment cycles — and must be confident working directly with controllers and financial reporting teams. This will be a primarily remote work with minimal travel to the client office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the allocation model end to end and design, cost driver logic, assessment and distribution cycle build, and execution within the close calendar.



Accountable for allocation accuracy at close.
- Own GL design and configuration ledgers, document types, posting keys, currency and valuation setup, and the universal journal structure.
- Design and build the period-close process: close calendar, task sequencing, accruals, provisions and the close cockpit.
- Own intercompany design: postings, settlement, elimination inputs and reconciliation.
- Design the interlock between engagement postings and the GL alongside the Engagement Management workstream.
- Lead fit-to-standard sessions for R2R scope; document design and secure controller sign-off.
- Build and execute test scenarios across the close cycle; support GL and open-item data migration.

Preferred Experience:

- Public Cloud Edition; multi-entity or partnership structures; CPA or solid statutory accounting depth; SAP S/4HANA Finance certification; bilingual (EN/FR).
