Title: Director - Technology Infrastructure & Implementation

Reporting to the Senior Director, Planning & Operations in CRC’s Philanthropy department, the Director, Technology Infrastructure & Implementation is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the department’s technology and data ecosystem. Building on past and current foundational work, the incumbent will oversee the continued evolution of the department’s relevant systems, tools and governance structures to drive Philanthropy’s revenue growth ambitions.
This role leads the Business Systems Analytics and Web Development teams, providing strategic and operational direction, ensuring alignment with departmental priorities. The Director, Technology & Infrastructure will also work closely with leaders across Philanthropy, as well as other business units (Technology Group, Finance) to align technology and data strategy and governance with business needs.
The incumbent stays informed on sector trends, understanding how AI and emerging technologies can be used, with an eye to continually evolving the technology roadmap to advance Philanthropy’s strategic priorities.

In this role, you will :

Lead and develop the Business Systems Analytics and Web Development teams, setting direction, building capacity through development and workforce planning, and coaching team members through their growth

Set the strategic and operational direction for Philanthropy's technology and data ecosystem, translating priorities into concrete plans and roadmaps

Act as data steward for Philanthropy, establishing governance around data and technology use, as well as process/product ownership, in alignment with enterprise-level governance standards

Partner with Technology Group, Finance,



and other Philanthropy leaders to align technology strategy, standards, and governance with evolving business needs

Lead change management for technology and process initiatives, anticipating resistance, building buy-in, and ensuring successful adoption

Own vendor relationships and budget, ensuring accountability and value across the department's technology investments

Develop business cases and present to senior leadership to secure funding, resources, and organizational buy-in for key initiatives

Stay ahead of sector trends and emerging technology, including AI, adapting relevant strategies to support Philanthropy's revenue growth and strategic priorities

Establish and evolve best practices, standards, and governance frameworks that strengthen data and technology maturity across the department

Identify, assess and mitigate operational or systems risks, ensuring appropriate governance and compliance practices are in place

What we are looking for:

Minimum 8-12 years of job-related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in business administration, business development, operations, data analytics, information management or relevant discipline, including 5-7 years of people leadership experience with demonstrated success leading teams through organizational change and transformation

Experience working in the non-profit sector is preferred; knowledge of marketing, fundraising or sales is an asset

Able to create, align and translate strategies into concrete and cohesive operating plans that align daily work with departmental operational objectives

Able to synthesize complex information and communicate to a variety of stakeholder audiences, with strong persuasion, negotiation and consensus-building skills

Proven track record of planning and delivering mid- to large-scale technology, data or business transformation projects





Conceptual understanding of CRM systems and broader fundraising or digital marketing technologies (e.g. donation platforms, email and SMS marketing tools, donation processing)

Familiar with the regulatory landscape in the Canadian charitable sector governing data handling, including data/privacy protection, communication consent and tax-related retention obligations (PIPEDA, CASL, PCI compliance, CRA, etc.)

Ability to work effectively in a complex workplace with multiple conflicting priorities'

Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships

High level of proficiency in standard MS Office applications

Strong written and verbal English communication skills (French an asset)
