Heavy Equipment Operator

Salary: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Hours of Work: 50-60 hours per week

Location: Headingley, MB

Employment Type: Full-Time Seasonal

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join a growing civil infrastructure and construction team working on municipal and commercial projects throughout Manitoba.

Responsibilities

Heavy Equipment Operator duties include, but are not limited to:

Operate various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, and dozers.

Transport heavy equipment to and from job sites.

Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Maintain accurate equipment usage and maintenance records.

Assist with general construction and site-related tasks as required.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.





Experience with GPS/Machine Control systems is considered an asset.

Minimum 2 years of experience working in a construction environment.

Road construction experience is preferred.

Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement is considered an asset.

Ability to work extended hours (10-12 hours per day) in all weather conditions.

Willingness to travel occasionally.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design drawings, and construction plans.

Solid communication skills with the ability to report job site conditions and activities effectively.
