Learn more at shn.CaJob Description:Job SummaryThe Senior Manager, Clinical Informatics provides operational leadership for the optimization, sustainment, and adoption of SHN’s clinical information systems, with a primary focus on Epic.Reporting to the Director, Clinical Information Systems, this role leads teams responsible for Epic system configuration, optimization, training, super user enablement, business analysis, and project delivery. The position supports SHN in a post‑implementation, steady‑state environment and ensures alignment with the Digital Services roadmap.The Senior Manager, Clinical Informatics represents SHN at ENHANCE Ontario (EO) forums and supports the execution of regional initiatives at the local level.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipLead and manage Clinical Informatics staff, including clinical informatics specialists, trainers, coordinators,
and studentsEstablish and manage operational priorities aligned with organizational strategic priorities and Digital Services roadmapsProvide oversight of clinical informatics ticket intake, triage, prioritization, and escalation in partnership with Digital Services and ENHANCEOversee performance management, staff development, and workload planningPromote a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvementClinical System Optimization & Epic BuildLead workflow optimization initiatives across inpatient, ambulatory, and ancillary domainsOversee local Epic build, configuration, testing, and deployment activitiesEnsure system changes are clinically validated and aligned with best practices and regional standardsPartner with clinical and operational leaders to identify and prioritize optimization opportunitiesTraining, Adoption & Super User ProgramProvide leadership for end‑user training strategies and refresher educationLead and sustain the Clinical Informatics Super User ProgramMonitor system adoption and incorporate feedback into ongoing optimization and training plansBusiness Analysis & Clinical EngagementEnsure high‑quality clinical and business analysis to support system enhancementsTranslate clinical and operational needs into functional and technical requirementsAct as a trusted informatics partner to clinical and operational stakeholdersProject Management & DeliveryLead Clinical Informatics‑led initiatives from planning through executionPartner with the Project Management Office (PMO), Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO) and Digital Services on governance and deliverySupport effective change management, documentation,
