Overview

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting Experienced Quality Assurance Technician for full-time vacancies in Waterloo, ON.

Our client is seeking a career-minded Quality Assurance Technician to join their team and play a key role in ensuring products consistently meet customer and industry quality standards.

This is a FULL-TIME opportunity with the potential for long-term employment.

Hours of Work:

- Rotating 3-shift schedule (Days, Afternoons, Nights)
- Shift rotation every two weeks
- Overtime and occasional weekends as required

Pay Rate: $24.00 – $28.00/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly

Responsibilities:

- Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, height gauges, and tape measures.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to verify product compliance.
- Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns, ensuring non-conforming material is properly contained and reported.
- Complete accurate inspection records, quality reports, and production documentation.
- Support investigations into quality issues by assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.




- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality procedures, customer requirements, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Participate in internal audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and ongoing quality system activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

- 3-5 years of Quality Assurance experience in automotive, metal fabrication, tubing, or another precision manufacturing environment.
- Post-secondary education or formal training in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong working knowledge of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers/calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and other inspection tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T;, and customer specifications.
- Experience conducting first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and quality documentation requirements.




- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve quality issues.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and comfortable working with electronic quality records and manufacturing software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across production, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be dependable and flexible to work a rotating three-shift schedule (changing every two weeks), overtime, and occasional weekends as required.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, continuous improvement, and producing high-quality work.
