Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in the food industry, especially as a barista, is preferred but not mandatory. The position involves operating POS systems, handling cash, and maintaining food safety standards to ensure a welcoming and safe setting for all customers.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer orders efficiently while providing excellent customer service
- Handle cash transactions accurately and give correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving food items
- Ensure timely service during busy periods by managing time effectively
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner to enhance their overall experience

Skills

- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform serving, food preparation, and cashiering tasks seamlessly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly without compromising quality
- Valid ProServe certification is required
