Tree of Life Montessori Academy is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team effective immediately.
This position is ideal for an RECE who enjoys working alongside Montessori educators in a Christ-centred environment. You will support the daily operation of our Montessori classrooms while helping create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Position Responsibilities
- Support the Montessori Instructor in the daily operation of the classroom.
- Help prepare and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Montessori learning environment.
- Supervise and engage with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and daily routines.
- Build caring, respectful relationships with children and encourage independence through positive guidance.
- Observe children's learning and share observations with the teaching team.
- Assist with classroom documentation, attendance, daily reports, and incident reporting.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment by following CCEYA, Ministry of Education, Toronto Public Health, and centre policies.
- Communicate professionally with families and fellow staff members.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to support each child's individual growth and development.
QualificationsRequired
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong knowledge of child development and early learning
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, caring, and professional attitude
- Commitment to supporting a Christ-centred learning environment
Assets
- Experience working in a licensed childcare centre
- Montessori experience or an interest in Montessori education
- French or another language is an asset
