Our firm is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our busy Corporate Department. This position is ideal for a Legal Assistant who is seeking an opportunity to expand on their existing skills and experience.
This role requires an individual who is highly-organized, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Duties include the following:
- Preparing and reviewing legal documents for corporate transactions, such as incorporations and reorganizations;
- Updating and maintaining corporate records, including minute books and Corporate Registry filings;
- Performing searches and assisting with due diligence;
- Communicating with clients and liaising other professionals, such as accountants; and
- Managing files using ProLaw practice management software.
Prior experience as a Legal Assistant in a corporate position is preferred,
with priority being given to candidates with Corporate Registry and Personal Property Registry certifications.
