We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to support our operational facility.

Job Summary

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that aerospace manufacturing processes, products, and systems meet internal quality standards as well as regulatory and customer requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with AS9100, FAA, and customer specifications while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and procedures in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, and customer requirements
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
- Support manufacturing operations through process audits, inspections, and quality planning activities
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined and met
- Lead internal audits and support external audits (customer, regulatory, and certification audits)
- Investigate nonconformances, manage corrective actions, and verify effectiveness
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Support supplier quality activities including supplier audits, PPAP/FAI review, and corrective action follow-up
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Support First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102 requirements




- Assist in risk management activities including PFMEA and control plan development

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of quality engineering experience in an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA regulatory requirements
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and specifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, composites, or special processes)
- Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
- Experience with supplier quality management and audits
- Six Sigma, CQE, or other quality certifications
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and quality management software

Working Conditions

- Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment
- Occasional travel to suppliers or customer sites may be required
- Must be able to comply with ITAR and/or EAR regulations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
