About the Opportunity

An established industrial service organization is seeking an experienced Branch Foreman to lead daily service operations at its Edmonton-area facility.

This position combines hands-on technical leadership with operational coordination. The successful candidate will oversee shop activities, engine overhaul work, equipment repairs, and field service support while ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.

The Branch Foreman will provide technical direction to technicians, coordinate resources and priorities, review completed work, and support accurate repair recommendations and quotations.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and supervise daily shop and field service activities.
- Coordinate engine overhaul, equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance work.
- Assign work based on technician skills, workload, urgency, and operational priorities.
- Monitor job progress, productivity, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance for diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, installation, and commissioning.
- Coach and support technicians through feedback, training, and practical job guidance.
- Identify technical skill gaps, training needs, and recurring service issues.
- Review inspection findings and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Prepare or support repair estimates, quotations, work scopes, and follow-up recommendations.
- Review work orders for labour, parts, job notes, photos, and supporting documentation before closure.
- Ensure completed work meets safety, quality, and customer requirements.
- Support accurate job costing, billing readiness, and operational reporting.
- Maintain organized and safe work areas, tools, equipment, and shared resources.
- Communicate job status, priorities, and operational concerns to management and scheduling personnel.
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, hazard assessments, and incident follow-up.
- Support employee onboarding, training,



and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent the organization professionally during internal and customer-facing interactions.

Qualifications

- Journeyperson certification or equivalent technical experience in a relevant trade or industrial service environment.
- At least five years of service-related technical experience.
- Previous leadership, foreman, lead-hand, or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
- Experience supporting complex equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Experience reviewing work orders and preparing repair recommendations or estimates.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety, service documentation, and quality standards.
- Comfortable using maintenance-management systems, service documentation platforms, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record.

Working Conditions
