We are patient centred ,single owner ,well established family dental practice.We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant/Receptionist .

This is a unique combined position.The successful candidate will work primarily at the front desk and provide chairside dental assisting approximately one day per week, as needed.

We are a up-to-date, paperless, digital office with a friendly , experienced team and wonderful patients. We are a small , non corporate practice and place a strong emphasis on providing excellent patient care while maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.

Schedule

Permanent, 4 days per week.

Monday to Thursday

8.00 a.m.- 5 p.m.

1 - hour lunch break

Approximately 32 - 35 hours per week

No evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

Reception/Administrative

- Greet patients and provide a warm and welcoming experience.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Process dental insurance claims and patient accounts.
- Maintain accurate electronic patient records.
- Coordinate with the clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Perform general dental office administrative duties.
- Clinical/Chairside
- Provide chairside dental assisting approximately one day per week.




- Prepare operatories and assist the dentist during procedures.
- Follow appropriate infection prevention and control procedures.

Assist with other clinical duties within the scope of your training.

Qualifications

Previous chairside dental assisting experience preferred.

Previous dental reception/administrationexperience is strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.

Experience with dental insurance claims and scheduling is an asset.

Familiarity with AbelDent is an asset.

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Warm, compassionate and dependable team player.

Comfortable moving between clinical and administrative responsibilities.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting at $25.00 and up per hour, depending on experience.
