Job Title: 310T Truck & Coach Mechanic

Reporting to: Shop Supervisor/ Company Owners

Hours: 6:00am - 4:30pm - Possible shift work

Location: TBell Nairn Shop

T Bell Transport Inc. is looking to hire a Lead Hand / 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic to join our team. This role is located in Nairn Centre.

The role of the Mechanic is to ensure effective operation of various on / off highway equipment by maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing components where required and to carry out all duties in a safe and efficient manner.

- Assist apprentices' with repair of a mixed fleet of equipment.
- Assist with prioritizing and delegating work amongst shop mechanics.
- Perform preventative maintenance such as inspections, lubricating, oil changes and failure analysis.
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions and carryout necessary repairs including major component replacement and repair or rebuild.
- Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other policies, procedures and requirements.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

- Valid 310T Truck and Coach License.




- Valid Drivers License.
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of Paccar, Detroit, Cummins computer programs (preferred)
- Experience with Chip Trailers, Float Trailers and various brands of Tractor’s
- Kenworth / Western Star / Mack / Volvo / International experience an asset

Other:

- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to perform service calls
- Oversee shop repairs
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
