QUALIFICATIONS:
Chef training or culinary management diploma from a program that meets the standard established by
the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
Safe Food Handling Course
Understanding of therapeutic diets and menus
Commercial cooking experience in a health care facility is an asset
Ability to perform routine cleaning duties and assume responsibility for high standards of sanitation in the
department




Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations
Positive oral and written skills, and basic skills in Microsoft Office, email, and intranet
Excellent customer service/communication skills
Good organization skills and problem-solving, with the ability to set own priorities, use critical thinking,
and work with minimal supervision
Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team setting
