Responsibilities

- Fabricate and finish lenses according to prescriptions using specialized optical equipment
- Inspect finished eyewear for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain detailed records of lens orders, adjustments, and quality checks
- Assist with the assembly of frames and fitting lenses into eyewear components
- Collaborate with retail staff to ensure timely delivery of completed eyewear products
- Follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the laboratory environment




- Support inventory management by tracking supplies and ordering materials as needed

Requirements

- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and optics
- Previous laboratory experience or hands-on experience with optical equipment preferred
- Familiarity with optical processes such as lens edging, coating, and mounting
- Retail sales experience or understanding of customer service in an optical setting is a plus
- Ability to operate complex machinery like edgers, polishers, and measuring devices accurately
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity
- Basic understanding of Epic or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous
- Experience in retail management or sales roles can enhance your effectiveness in this position

Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
