Front Desk Associate — Part-Time/Casual

Lightsteel HTC is a recent hockey-specific performance training facility opening in Langley, BC, featuring a dedicated strength and conditioning gym, synthetic ice, and a skatemill training area. We're hiring Front Desk Associates to be the first face athletes and families see when they walk in.

What you'll do:

- Check in athletes, families, and coaches for scheduled sessions
- Answer phone, email, and in-person questions about programs and scheduling
- Manage bookings using our scheduling software
- Handle basic admin: payments, waivers, session tracking
- Operate our automated skate-sharpening machine (place skate in, close lid, run cycle — no manual sharpening skill required)
- Keep the front of house clean and organized

What we're looking for:

- Friendly, reliable, comfortable talking with people of all ages
- Comfortable with basic computer/POS use
- Available for at least one weekday evening AND one weekend shift per week
- Punctual, dependable, detail oriented, and organized
- First Aid/CPR certificate (Basic First Aid Course),



required for job and must be able to pass course; course paid for for successful candidates
- Experience with children + youth is an asset, not required
- Customer service or reception experience an asset, not required
- Hockey/athletics background a plus, not required

Schedule:
Shifts rotate on a set cycle across weekday evenings (3:45–7:45pm) and weekend blocks (9am–2pm / 2–7pm, Sat & Sun). We will collect availability and build the schedule around school and other commitments —please note, no one works both weekend shifts the same day.

Bonus: Interested in more hours? You can cross-train as a Level 1 Support Trainer for additional on-floor shifts.
