Senior Accountant

Cornwall, PEI | $70,000 - $85,000 | Full-Time | On-Site

Our client is a well-established Canadian organization with a diverse portfolio of retail businesses and a strong presence across the country. Built on a culture of collaboration, integrity, and exceptional customer experiences, they are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing finance team.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple business units. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, takes ownership of their work, and is comfortable balancing a variety of accounting responsibilities.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage full-cycle accounting, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Payroll
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting
- Prepare and file GST/HST returns
- Complete account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Assist with inventory accounting and fixed asset tracking
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to support business decisions
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Process biweekly payroll

What We're Looking For





- 2-5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a small to mid-sized organization
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics is considered an asset)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Retail or multi-location business experience is considered an asset
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
