Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Laborer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting warehouse operations, ensuring smooth distribution processes, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Your hands-on skills and mechanical knowledge will help us meet daily operational goals, from loading and unloading shipments to operating heavy equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management, logistics, and heavy equipment operation while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

- Load and unload steel, finished parts, and incoming materials.
- Move materials between the laser cutting, bending, welding, machining, and powder-coating areas.
- Sort, count, label, package, and prepare completed parts for delivery.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, slag, and surface imperfections using hand tools or grinders.
- Assist machine operators with loading and unloading parts, under supervision.
- Perform basic visual inspections for scratches, damage, incorrect quantities, or obvious defects.
- Clean metal parts before welding, painting, or powder coating.
- Hang and remove parts from the powder-coating line.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop floor, workstations, equipment areas, lunchroom, and loading areas.
- Empty scrap bins and separate recyclable materials.
- Assist with inventory organization and material storage.
- Use pallet jacks, carts,



hand tools, and other basic shop equipment.
- Follow drawings, work orders, job travellers, and instructions from supervisors.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, and quality concerns immediately.
- Help with other production, shipping, receiving, and facility tasks as required.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or related construction environments is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or load/unload machinery is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Experience with order picker operations and general warehouse tasks such as shipping & receiving.
- Construction or industrial experience that demonstrates comfort working with heavy equipment and manual labor.
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
