Kindred Path Home Care is a locally owned, nurse-led home care company dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized support that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

We are currently seeking caring, dependable, and professional Personal Support Workers (PSWs) or Nursing Students to join our growing contractor network serving clients throughout Windsor and Essex County.

Applicants should have one of the following:

- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from an accredited program; or
- Be a nursing student who has successfully completed relevant clinical placements and is eligible to provide personal care within their education and training.

What You'll Do

As an Independent Contractor, you will provide individualized, client-centred support that may include:

- Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Mobility assistance and transfers
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Companionship and social engagement
- Dementia and cognitive support
- Respite care for family caregivers
- Documentation and communication with the care team
- Observing and reporting changes in client condition

Qualifications

Applicants must have:





- Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited program
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
- Professional Liability Insurance (or ability to obtain before providing services)
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence
- Smartphone with internet access
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism
- Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments with a focus on patient-centered support
- Strong background in nursing home or senior care settings, including dementia and hospice care experience
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate demeanor combined with a proactive attitude towards client safety and comfort

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting older adults and individuals living with:

- Dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Chronic illness
- Mobility limitations
- Palliative care needs
- Post-hospital recovery

Independent Contractor Requirements

This is an independent contractor opportunity. Contractors are responsible for maintaining:

- Professional liability insurance
- Required certifications
- Reliable transportation
- Applicable tax obligations
