Join the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) and make a meaningful impact. As part of our team, you will help prepare and serve meals while supporting offender rehabilitation by providing valuable workplace training and employment skills development.

Key duties:

- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal production.
- Prepare breakfast items, sandwiches, and other short-order meals.
- Reheat and serve meals while ensuring portion control and food safety.
- Receive, store, and distribute food supplies.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, inventory, and storage areas.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment and a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Train offender workers in food preparation, food safety, and workplace practices.
- Follow all food safety, security, and fire prevention procedures.

What we’re looking for:

- Experience in a commercial or institutional food service environment.
- Experience with food preparation, meal service, or short-order cooking.
- Experience working with cash register or point of sale (POS) system is a plus.

- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Possession of a valid recognized Safe Food Handling Program certification is a plus.
