All Store Clerks are responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a qualified, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. Store Clerks will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies and Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives
- Provide customer service to meet customer needs
- Keep work area clean and presentable at all times
- Handle, organize, and rotate product in accordance with company standards
- Process customer grocery orders
- Demonstrate growth in product knowledge; remains aware of product changes and seasonal requirements
- Remain current with weekly and in-store specials
- Accurately records information in all appropriate logs
- Assist other departments and functions as required
- Adhere to, and implement all applicable company standards
- Other duties as required

SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Good customer service skills

· Able to communicate effectively with customers and staff

· Capable of working independently or as part of a team

· Able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment

ADDITIONAL WORKING REQUIREMENTS:





· Lifting and moving weights of 5 – 20 kilograms (e.g., cases of pop, cases of canned goods, bags of dog food)

· Standing and walking for long periods of time

· Some bending and reaching while stocking grocery areas

· Using equipment including box cutters and pump jacks to move skids through the store

· Exposure to cool and cold temperatures while working in dairy or frozen food areas
