Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials safely and efficiently across various job sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety standards. Prior experience with a clean driving record is a must.
Duties
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, or other loads to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, loads, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump truck operation.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and logistics coordination.
- Basic automotive repair knowledge beneficial for routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Prior experience in construction, mining, or related industries is advantageous.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and ability to work in various weather conditions.
