Position Summary
The MIG Welder is responsible for assembling and repairing armored vehicle components by welding metal parts using high-heat welding equipment. This role supports armored vehicle production by ensuring welded assemblies meet engineering, safety, and quality standards.
Shift: Day Shift: 7:00 am- 4:30 pm
Evening Shift: 4:30 pm - 2:00 am

Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on armored steel components according to drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Assemble metal parts and repair damaged components using approved welding techniques
- Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance; remove weld spatter and perform grinding as required
- Prime and seal welded areas to protect against corrosion and ensure durability
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe, working condition
- Assist with installation of mechanical and electrical components as required
- Lifting, pushing, or pulling may be required, with a maximum weight of up to 20 lbs
- Follow all safety procedures and work efficiently to meet production targets
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation on a daily basis
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of hands-on MIG welding experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing or armored vehicle production
- Experience welding steel or heavy-gauge materials
- Ability to read and interpret welding symbols, drawings, and blueprints
- Robust attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform job duties in a manufacturing environment
