This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate looking to launch their career with hands-on experience at the intersection of construction and finance.

In this role, you'll build on the construction knowledge you've gained through your education while developing practical skills in project financing, construction accounting, budgeting, and contract administration. You'll work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to the financial and administrative processes that drive successful development projects from start to finish.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a genuine interest in both construction and accounting and is eager to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop a well-rounded understanding of development budgets, project costs, financial reporting, and contract management.

Although our team works remotely, you'll never be working in isolation. Collaboration is a core part of how we operate. We are constantly connected through Microsoft Teams, regularly sharing screens, discussing projects, solving problems together, and supporting one another throughout the day. You'll have access to experienced team members who are always available to answer questions, provide guidance, and help you learn. We believe the best learning happens through collaboration, and we never expect you to make important decisions on your own.

Please note that this is not an engineering design role. The position is focused entirely on construction accounting, financial management, and the administrative processes required to successfully deliver construction and development projects.

This is an 18-month contract position from August 2026 through to the end of December 2027 covering a parental leave.

What You Get to Do

- Conduct periodic construction site inspections. Drive to construction sites, take pictures, review progress in place.




- Review documentation provided by Lenders/Developers to prepare preliminary and monthly reports.
- Prepare and undertake periodic reviews of construction progress claim reports, including invoices, valuation of changes, analysis of progress on site and recommendation of loan advances.
- Prepare construction budget reviews through detailed analysis of development proposals with comprehensive knowledge of typical Lender’s requirements and terms of engagement.
- Understand Engineering consultant reports and their impact on development proposals.
- Account for coordinating workload and team resources with the support of the President and Director.
- Collaborate seamlessly within a small team, sharing knowledge and information.

What You'll Bring

- College degree or equivalent to any of the following: Architect, Construction, Engineering
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office programs. Strong EXCEL skills
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment and initiative.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail to ability to produce quality work.
- Strong time management skills and proven ability to consistently meet or exceed deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics.
- Strong communication skills – verbal, report writing & presentation.
- Eligible to work in Canada
