As an Assistant Gardener you will work with our team to maintain and develop all aspects of residential gardens. You will be weeding, pruning/shaping, dealing with plant pests/disease, planting, and a host of other responsibilities.
One or two years of gardening or yard maintenance experience is desired, and shrub/perennial knowledge is a big asset. Experience working in customer service is also a big asset, as we work at people's homes. An education in the landscape field such as is offered at Olds College is another big asset.
Relevant skills include the ability to identify and describe trees, shrubs, and perennials, basic annual container design, pruning technique, weeding proficiency, fertilizer application, greenhouse operations, etc.
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
