Central Botanical Growers o/a Floral Acres Greenhouses and Garden Centre is a dynamic grower and retailer of horticultural products with a rich family history. We have Retail, Wholesale, and E-commerce operations located on Saskatoon's beautiful Valley Road.
We grow the overwhelming majority of our products in-house with over 220,00 square feet of greenhouse space we use to plant over 4 million plants per year!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasks

- Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas
- Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for germination
- Cultivate on verticle farming system
- Cut horticultural crops
- Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non marketable lots
- Greenhouse cleaning
- Mixing fertilizer
- Seed cutting
- Tie and secure plants
- Weeding
- Write daily basic progress reports
- Spray or dust plants with insecticide and fungicides
- Mix and prepare soil




- Plant bulbs and seeds
- Pot and re-pot plants
- Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
- Apply fertilizers
- Report signs of insect or disease damage
- Assist in grafting activities
- Water and tend to plants, lawn and /or gardens
- Clean work area
