Clamp Truck Operator

Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Compensation: $25.43/hour
Schedule: Rotating 8-hour shifts (Days, Afternoons, Midnights – rotating every 2 weeks)

Worklynx Recruitment Inc. is currently hiring a Clamp Truck Operator for one of our clients located in Mississauga, ON.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Clamp Truck Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a roll clamp truck to move, load, unload, and stage paper rolls while ensuring safe and efficient warehouse operations.

Candidates with strong roll clamp experience are preferred; however, box clamp experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate a roll clamp truck safely and efficiently

· Unload paper rolls from trailers and place them in designated bays

· Inspect rolls for damage and record findings on Bills of Lading

· Verify roll numbers, sizes, and grades against shipping documentation

· Complete receiving logs, tally sheets, and related documentation

· Supply paper rolls to the corrugator based on production requirements

· Coordinate lineup changes with production staff and operators

· Remove and manage butt rolls and damaged rolls appropriately

· Complete roll consumption reports and daily equipment checklists

· Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment

· Assist with inventory counts as required

· Follow all plant safety procedures and company policies

· Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

· Minimum Grade 12 education

· Valid Clamp Truck/Forklift certification





· Minimum 3 years of recent and consistent clamp truck experience

· Roll clamp experience preferred; box clamp experience considered

· Strong and confident equipment operating skills

· Ability to work rotating shifts

· Good mathematical and metric measurement understanding

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
