Dispatcher Job Summary:

A key member of the Operations team, reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dispatcher is the centre of Robert Q’s operations and is responsible for coordinating the movement of Airbus Drivers, vehicles, courier and luggage in an effective and efficient manner. The Dispatcher manages the seamless, safe and enjoyable journey/transportation of our customers 24/7, 365 days per year. The Dispatcher maintains skilled, collaborative communication with all airbus departments including: Reservations, Drivers, Garage staff and Management to navigate daily runs, anticipate and trouble shoot problems and to maintain the level of service excellence our clients are accustomed to, aligning with Robert Q’s Airbus and Travel core values.

As an integral part of the team, in the absence of Management, the Dispatcher is directly responsible for the supervision and actions of all Airbus Departments. The Dispatcher will support staff with addressing multifaceted urgent circumstances that arise while maintaining a positive and collaborative team environment.

Status: Permanent Full-Time , Afternoons mainly with a possibility of varied shifts, based on operational requirements

Qualifications:

- Successful completion of post secondary school or equivalent education and experience acceptable to Robert Q




- One-year previous work experience in a customer service capacity and two years + of dispatching experience in a comparable role or equivalent acceptable to Robert Q
- Demonstrated customer service experience along with the ability to effectively solve problems
- Positive and empathetic individual who can effectively work within a diverse team
- Demonstrated experience managing challenging situations and complex problems in a timely, proactive and efficient manner while achieving positive outcomes
- Possess strong leadership qualities. Ability to hold staff accountable and positively influence change
- Responsible for taking action and demonstrating initiative
- Accountable for respectful and collaborative conduct
- Sound knowledge of operational requirements and ability to assess and address customer demands
- Exceptional team player who productively liaises with others and generates cooperation
- Proven ability to assess and address customers needs given their sound customer service experience
- Skilled individual with effective communication and listening abilities
- Sound organizational and time management skills
- Proficient computer skills including: Excel, Word, OTMS, Outlook and internet navigation or ability to learn

- Proven attendance and punctuality
