The Steward/Dishwasher is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware. The ideal candidate for this position is friendly, detail oriented, and able to handle the physical demands of the job.
A successful candidate will be required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors, records and maintains the correct temperature control as outlined in our kitchen food safety plan
- Ensures all dishes are cleaned/sanitized using the proper machinery
- Removes garbage/recycling items from the kitchen
- Ensures the water in the dishwashing machine is changed regularly and as scheduled to ensure the proper dosages of chemicals are dispensed into machines.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- Be able to perform physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 40-45lbs
- Continuous standing, bending and walking throughout shift
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
