Senior Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Construction

Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to oversee water and wastewater construction projects across Ontario. The successful candidate will work from the company’s head office in Mississauga but will be required to travel and oversee projects throughout the province.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will act as the primary representative to clients and stakeholders, taking full responsibility for project success. This includes ensuring profitability, adherence to contract specifications, high-quality execution, and a safe work environment. You will lead project teams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with business development and construction management to drive project success.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee project execution in alignment with company processes and procedures, ensuring consistent quality and delivery.
- Mentor junior Project Managers and Coordinators to support their career growth.
- Assist the National Business Development team and Construction Manager in developing project schedules and reviewing submissions.
- Lead contract negotiations with owners and their representatives.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including regular cost projections and reviews.
- Create and update project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Compile and submit initial project budgets for approval.
- Select suppliers and sub-trades, obtain quotations,



and negotiate scope of work.
- Manage submittals, approvals, shop drawings, and document control processes.
- Implement and update QA/QC protocols for projects.
- Ensure timely receipt of progress payments and manage change orders.
- Lead project startup, progress, and close-out meetings.
- Identify and assess construction risks, site conditions, subcontractor performance, and labor availability.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager in construction.
- Experience in water/wastewater, energy, or civil infrastructure projects.
- A university degree or technology diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Qualified designation such as P. Eng or Gold Seal an asset.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to travel and oversee projects across Ontario.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Experience managing projects valued between $50M and $100M.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $100,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
