Position Overview
The Corporate Operations Manager will coordinate and improve the administrative and corporate operations that support Downtown Tire Brake & Muffler.
The position will focus on operational planning, inventory coordination, purchasing, supplier management, reporting, internal procedures, and business performance.
This is a fully remote corporate position. The employee will work from home and communicate with management, employees, suppliers, and other business partners using telephone, email, video conferencing, and online business systems.
The position does not involve performing vehicle repairs or other physical automotive service duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate administrative and corporate business operations
- Develop and maintain efficient operational procedures and workflows
- Support inventory planning for tires, rims, automotive parts, and related products
- Monitor inventory information and identify purchasing requirements
- Coordinate purchasing activities with suppliers and vendors
- Maintain professional relationships with tire, rim, automotive parts, and equipment suppliers
- Review supplier pricing, product availability, and purchasing information
- Assist with forecasting tire and automotive product demand
- Support seasonal inventory planning, including periods of increased tire demand
- Monitor operational performance and prepare reports for management
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Help reduce unnecessary operating and purchasing costs
- Coordinate information between management, employees, suppliers, and service providers
- Maintain organized operational records and documentation
- Support budgeting and business planning activities
- Develop processes for tracking orders, inventory, and supplier activity
- Coordinate projects involving internal systems and business processes
- Support the implementation of company policies and operating procedures
- Identify operational issues and work with management to develop practical solutions
- Monitor key operational performance indicators
- Prepare regular performance and operations summaries for management
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operations management, business operations, inventory management, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Experience coordinating suppliers, vendors, or business partners
- Ability to review operational information and prepare reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Strong computer skills and experience with common business software
- Experience with inventory, purchasing, ERP, or operational management systems is an asset
- Automotive, tire, retail, distribution, or service-industry experience is an asset but is not required
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an asset
Pay: $90,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
