Skid Steer Operator – Residential ConstructionForce Civil Solutions

Force Civil Solutions is a growing civil contractor specializing in residential excavation, site servicing, utility installation, grading, and earthworks throughout Edmonton and surrounding communities. Since 2017, we’ve partnered with homebuilders, developers, and contractors to deliver reliable, high-quality work with safety and professionalism at the core of everything we do.

We are currently looking for an experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our residential construction division.

This position is ideal for someone who is confident operating in active subdivisions, understands residential grading and site prep, and takes pride in producing clean, efficient work while supporting the crew around them.

Responsibilities

- Operate skid steers safely and efficiently on residential construction sites
- Perform rough grading, fine grading, lot prep, and backfilling
- Support excavation and underground utility crews
- Load, move, and stage materials around site
- Assist with trench cleanup and site maintenance
- Work safely around foundations, utilities, curbs, and finished surfaces
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Follow all company and site safety procedures

Requirements

- Experience operating skid steers in residential or civil construction




- Ability to fine grade and work efficiently in subdivision environments
- Understanding of residential excavation and utility work
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with Q Air Brake Endorsement
- Reliable transportation to and from site
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a crew

Preferred Assets

- Experience with GPS or laser grading systems
- Underground utility installation experience
- Class 1 or Class 3 license
- CSTS, Ground Disturbance, and First Aid certifications
- Experience operating mini excavators or other compact equipment

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
