As our project workload continues to grow, we are seeking a Project Management Specialist to support the planning, coordination, and execution of precast concrete projects from award through completion. This role is designed for an early-career qualified who is eager to learn, highly organized, and motivated to grow into a full Project Manager role over time.
About the Role
The Project Management Specialist is a hands-on, support-focused role responsible for assisting with the coordination and execution of precast concrete projects.
Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, Engineering, Production, Sales, and Site Teams, this role helps ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with customer and operational expectations.
This is not a desk-only role. The Project Management Specialist will regularly engage with internal teams, review and support the preparation of drawings and schedules, track project milestones, and assist with issue resolution as projects move through engineering, production, quality review, and delivery.[KC1]
Core Accountabilities
Project Coordination & Support
- Support Senior Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination activities
- Assist with managing project timelines, deliverables, and internal milestones
- Track project progress and flag risks, delays, or issues for escalation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
Scheduling & Workflow Support
- Assist with coordinating workflows between Engineering, Production, and Site Teams
- Help ensure project schedules align with production capacity and delivery commitments
Engineering and Drawing Support
- Assist with the coordination, preparation, and review of shop drawings in collaboration with engineering.
- Support drawing reviews to ensure alignment with project specifications and production requirements
- Distribute approved drawings to internal stakeholders and track revisions and updates
- Exposure to CAD software is considered and asset and will support long term growth in the role
Quality Support and Issue Resolution
- Support quality review processes by assisting with documentation, tracking deficiencies, and coordinating follow up actions
- Help differentiate and communicate production issues versus quality related issues
- Assist with the resolution and tracking of quality concerns in collaboration with Quality and Production teams
Communication & Stakeholder Support
- Serve as a point of contact for internal project-related communication
- Support communication with customers, consultants, and contractors as directed
- Prepare meeting notes, follow-ups, and action item tracking
Documentation & Reporting
- Assist with preparing project documentation including schedules, status updates, and summaries
- Track change requests, RFIs, and drawing revisions in coordination with Engineering
- Support reporting on project status, risks, and key milestones
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Engineering to support drawing reviews, approvals, and revisions
- Coordinate with Production to align project requirements with manufacturing timelines
- Support Logistics and Site Teams to ensure delivery and installation readiness
Problem Solving & Issue Resolution
- Support identification and resolution of project-related issues
- Escalate concerns promptly with clear information and recommendations
- Assist with documenting lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities
Learning & Development
- Build knowledge of precast concrete products, production processes, and project lifecycles
- Develop project management skills under the guidance of Senior Project Managers
- Demonstrate initiative, accountability,
and a willingness to take on increasing responsibility
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience (Preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project coordination roles
Familiarity with shop drawings, construction drawings, or CAD software is considered an asset
- Exposure to project-based environments or construction projects is an asset
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Education
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- Equivalent practical experience will be considered

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
