Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care and landscape maintenance. As an arborist, you will be responsible for the health and maintenance of trees in the Prince George area, ensuring they thrive in their environment while promoting safety and aesthetic appeal. Below is a list of responsibilities and requirements (please note, this list is subject to change and other related duties may be asked/required of the employee).

Responsibilities

- Performing tree trimming, pruning, removal, and planting using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Lifting logs, dragging brush, loading, and unloading vehicles
- Rigging operations in communication with the climber during tree pruning and removals
- Performing occasional landscaping duties such as weeding and grading
- Driving a truck and operating a wood chipper
- Maintaining tools and equipment (chipper, truck, chainsaws, etc.)
- Collaborating with team members to plan and execute tree care projects efficiently
- Completing tailboard records and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times





Requirements

- Proven experience as an Arborist or in a related field with a solid understanding of tree care practices
- A valid drivers license and transportation to and from work
- Experience with chainsaw operation, tree falling, and rigging
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- *A first aid certificate (highly preferred)
- *Climbing experience (highly preferred but not mandatory)

This is sub-contract position with flexible hours. We are a new company, and helping us grow at this point will get you in good standing as a future lead.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
