Scott's Quality Lawn Care is looking for an exceptional individual to join our lawn care team as a Lawn Mowing Crew Technician, where you'll be a vital part of laying down those famous Scott's Quality Lawn Care lawn stripes. This energetic role involves operating a variety of lawn care equipment to deliver top-quality results. The successful candidate must be in very good physical condition. The candidate needs to show an interest in the small details and possess a high level of care when serving our clients. This job is rapid paced and not at all easy. This position can be very enjoyable and rewarding to someone who thrives on being active in the outdoors.
Scott's Quality Lawn Care also offers a full benefits package after 3 months of employment (not available to seasonal workers). We also reward our field staff with bonuses each month based off performance! There is opportunity to step into a salaried crew leader position in the winter as well as other opportunities for advancement within our company if you prove to us that you have what it takes. We are a fast paced and growing company.
Typical hours on the mowing crew are about 9-10 hours and 4 days per week, however during the first 2-3 weeks of the spring we typically work 6 days per week with an average of about 10 hours per day. Once we are in our mowing season, the normal 4 day per week schedule will kick in where we try to work Monday through Thursday.
This is advantageous because our employees typically receive overtime pay and can enjoy a 3 day weekend if we finish our mowing schedule. We will of course work to catch up on Friday, Saturday or Sunday if weather delays us. It's typical to work an average of one Friday per month and maybe a Saturday once every year. We have never worked a Sunday during our lawn mowing season. As mentioned, do plan to work weekends during the spring clean-up season and possibly the fall clean-up season, but generally speaking during the mowing season you will enjoy a 4 day work week.
We can also offer you employment during the winter season on our snow removal crew if you impress us and if you really impress us there will be opportunities as a crew leader this coming winter and future seasons!
There are also bonuses for performance on the mowing crew which you are fully expected to earn. Mowing crew members are also entitled to a full benefits package after successful completion of the 3 month probationary period.
