Our client is a well-established manufacturing facility with over 67 years of experience in producing high-quality metal components and providing repair and rebuild services for projects across Canada and internationally. They specialize in heavy metal fabrication, machining, assembly, and precision sheet metal work, serving a wide range of clients - from small startups to global suppliers of industrial equipment. Headquartered in Richmond, B.C., they are recognized for their reliability, craftsmanship, and commitment to excellence.

Our client is looking for a skilled Welder to join their team. This role involves welding metal components using various processes to meet welding procedures, manufacturing plans, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding processes, and specifications.
- Perform welding tasks to customer requirements with minimal supervision.
- Weld in vertical, flat, and overhead positions with strong penetration and quality finish.
- Operate manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated welding equipment.
- Use turntables, rolls, oxygen cutting equipment, and hoisting tools to position and secure materials.




- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate workflow.
- Operate equipment safely and report hazards or malfunctions to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in maintaining welding equipment and reporting maintenance needs.
- Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic manufacturing workplace.

Qualifications

- Valid Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification or equivalent.
- 3+ years of welding experience.
- Proficiency in the following welding techniques: FCAW and TIG welding.
- Valid welding trade certification, logbook, and copies of certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work from heights or ladders.
- Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum an asset.
