Owner Operator – Cross-Border | BC to California

Position: Class 1 Owner Operator – Cross-Border
Route: British Columbia ↔ California
Freight: Dry Van
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract

We are looking for experienced, reliable, and professional Owner Operators to join our team for consistent cross-border runs between British Columbia and California.

This opportunity is ideal for an Owner Operator looking for steady long-haul work, dependable miles, consistent freight, and regular BC–California lanes.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate your tractor between British Columbia and California
- Transport dry van freight across the Canada–U.S. border
- Perform required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and trip documentation
- Complete all required customs and cross-border documentation
- Follow Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service regulations
- Maintain your tractor in safe, reliable, and roadworthy condition
- Ensure freight is transported securely and delivered on schedule
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, and other issues
- Maintain qualified conduct with customers, shippers, receivers, border officials, and dispatch
- Comply with company safety policies and all applicable Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations

Requirements

- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence
- Minimum 1 year of commercial tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean driver's abstract




- Clean criminal record
- Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing
- Legally eligible to enter and operate commercially in the United States
- Valid passport and all required cross-border documentation
- Previous cross-border experience preferred
- Reliable and roadworthy highway tractor
- Tractor must meet all applicable Canadian and U.S. commercial vehicle requirements
- Appropriate insurance and documentation as required
- Strong understanding of Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service requirements
- Dependable, professional, and safety-focused
- Strong communication with dispatch
- Ability to meet pickup and delivery commitments consistently

Typical Route

Our primary lane is British Columbia to California and return.

Owner Operators should be comfortable completing regular long-haul cross-border runs between BC and California.
